Youth & Teen Program

Program Structure:

Empowering youth through a comprehensive program encompassing life skills, financial literacy, education, and wellness/sports, fosters holistic development. The initiatives aim to equip young individuals with practical tools for navigating life successfully. Life skills workshops instill resilience, communication, and problem-solving abilities. Financial literacy components empower them to make informed decisions, fostering financial independence. Educational support ensures access to quality learning, enhancing future prospects. The inclusion of wellness and sports promotes physical and mental well-being, fostering a healthy lifestyle. Together, these pillars create a transformative experience, preparing youth to overcome challenges, pursue their aspirations, and contribute positively to society.

Initiatives

Life Skills Workshops

  • Life skills workshops, integral to youth empowerment, address critical issues like gun violence prevention. Through education, communication, and conflict resolution training, participants gain tools to foster safer communities. By imparting resilience and empathy, these workshops contribute to building a society where individuals are equipped to navigate challenges peacefully and responsibly.

Financial Literacy Workshops

  • Youth financial literacy workshops provide essential knowledge on managing finances and navigating insurance policies. Participants learn budgeting, saving, and investing, alongside understanding the importance of insurance for protection. Empowering the youth with these skills ensures informed financial decision-making, fostering a secure and resilient financial future.

Education / Tutoring

  • Academic support and tutoring offer personalized assistance to students, reinforcing understanding and boosting academic performance. Through targeted guidance, these programs address individual learning needs, clarify concepts, and enhance study skills. This tailored approach empowers students to excel in their studies, fostering confidence and a passion for learning.

Wellness & Sports

  • A vibrant wellness and sports program for girls and boys! Join us for fitness, fun, and teamwork. Nurture physical and mental well-being while fostering friendships through exciting activities. day!

  • Wellness Team Captain (launch date: November 2024) - Training athletes (ages 12-18) relaxed breathing, basic first aid, basic life support (BLS), CPR, and AED use to better support their teammates while participating in  the sports they love! RSVP to attend an upcoming session.

  • COMING SOON: Empowerment-based Youth Self-Defense & Wellness Classes

Volunteer Projects (Ongoing)

  • Volunteering is an important part of building character and allows students to give back to their community and make a difference. It also looks great for college and work applications.

  • APS Students required to earn 40 hours of community service to graduate.

Focused Partnerships

Sweet Hearts Inc, has a partnership with FBC (Finest Basketball Club), a top National girls’ basketball travel program aimed at empowering young female athletes. FBC provides opportunities for girls to compete in high-level basketball tournaments while focusing on skill development, teamwork, and personal growth.
